Don't wanna upgrade to Windows Vista cause you heard all the horror story's? Oh wait how about Apple??? But when you priced the Apple machines they were just was out of your price range?
How about Linux? Ubuntu Linux I mean... this is becoming one of the HOTTEST Linux distros around. And the best part of it is you can try it without even installing it on your computer.. all that you have to do is simply burn the cd or dvd and boot up your machine using the live cd.. AND IT's ALL FREE!!!!
Just set your computer up to boot first from the cd and let Ubuntu boot choose the first option if you like it install it.. the option to install will be on your desktop.

Also if you need help with ANYTHING from using to installing Ubuntu you can get great help form there forums. Just set up a user account and post your questions in the beginner forum and you will get a reply right away to help you out.
